
Camagüey, January 24 - Due to the efficiency and productivity in managing economic and union indicators, the Raúl Cepero Bonilla Packing Base Business Unit hosted the provincial event for the Day of the Worker in the Food Industry, to be celebrated on January 25.
The collective, a National Vanguard of the Cuban Workers' Union, has a trained and committed staff who work extended hours to meet deliveries, primarily for social consumption and other orders.
Milene Rodríguez Suarez explained this, referring to the discipline and dedication of the men and women in the industry and the results from the last period, including recognition from the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment.
She also highlighted the social work and productive linkages, with special mention of outstanding workers such as young Daniel Salazar Rivera, Leonardo Enrique García Montano from the maintenance area, and Enelina Basulto González, who has dedicated over four decades to the unit.
During the event, the Beverages and Soft Drinks collective of Camagüey received the status of Integral Company in the sector for the province due to the quality of its productions, which include the Puerto Príncipe rum and Élite vinegar.
Silver Ramírez Pérez, Secretary General of the Provincial Union of Workers in the Food Industry and Fishing, praised the unity of its members and their commitment to continue contributing to food production in the year marking the centenary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro.
